Lazaridis School of Business and Economics
Economics is about building policies that can improve the way the world works. Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics provides a combination of sound mathematics, strong statistical analysis, and the ability to powerfully convey these findings.
You'll receive rigorous training that will give you both theoretical and empirical ways to understand, interpret and communicate the issues in today’s society.
Program Highlights
Co-op is available (apply after first year).- Laurier’s Economics department is uniquely positioned within our Lazaridis School of Business and Economics to provide you with the option to complete your degree in Economics and Accounting or Economics and Financial Management.
- This program is policy-focused and great preparation for graduate school.

Admission Requirements
We encourage applicants of all academic backgrounds to apply.
Ontario High School Curriculum
- Minimum admission range of mid 80s.
- Competitive admission range of high 80s.
- English at 70%.
- Advanced Functions at 70%.
- One of Calculus and Vectors or Data Management at 60%.
- All required courses calculated in admission average, including English.
