Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

At Wilfrid Laurier University, community is at the core of who we are and what we do.

Students feel welcome here and find their place. Everywhere you look, people are inspired to learn, lead and build lifelong relationships, to give their all and to give back.

And it’s not all about the lecture hall. Laurier educates with purpose, builds knowledge that serves society and creates connections that have a lasting impact. Our students are tomorrow’s leaders, propelled into the world around them, learning to think independently and develop ideas that catalyze change.

No matter how you choose to live your Laurier experience, you’re a Golden Hawk, which means you’re part of a tight-knit, supportive community that aims high and works hard.

Be bold and leave your mark. Be inspired to create a real-world difference.

Be part of something that’s unlike anything else.

Visit Us

It's hard to explain what it means to be a Golden Hawk without meeting us in person.

No matter which of our campuses you tour, once you come you'll immediately feel this "community" we keep talking about.

Design Your Degree

Our programs are designed to put you in charge of your university career.

You can combine majors and minors, pursue a double degree, enter a joint program with another institution, or enhance your degree with an option – or not. Your education is yours to shape.

Cost and Financial Aid

A university education is a big investment, so take some time to get to know the resources that will make an investment in you.

We'll work side-by-side with you to maximize the support you get, either through scholarships, awards, government loans or bursaries.

Discover Laurier

If all your learning is getting done in class, you’re not at Laurier.

Volunteer work, campus clubs, studying abroad, co-op work experience, and even intramural sports – they’re all an integral part of how we extend the classroom into the real world.

Chances are, you’ve never applied to university before. (And if you’re a graduate student, well, you probably haven’t applied to grad school.)

We know that applying to university can be an overwhelming experience, so we created admissions toolkits to help you through the process – but don't be shy: contact us and ask us whatever you want.
