Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Choose Your Program

Do you know what program you want to apply to? If not, browse through our program pages and discover the perfect program for you. Don’t forget to have a look at our options and minors to see how you can tailor your degree to suit your academic and career interests.

Visit Laurier

Choosing a program is a big decision, but deciding which university you want to spend the next four years of your life is an even bigger one! That’s why we encourage everyone to visit our campuses and get a feel for what life at Laurier is like. While you’re visiting, you can learn more about our programs and meet the current students who’ll be your peers.

Apply Online

Once you’ve picked the program you want to apply to, you can apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC).

  • If you’re a current Ontario high school student, you’ll complete the 101 application form.
  • If you're an international student, you'll complete the 105F application form.
  • All other applicants, including transfer students, can apply using the 105 application form.

You should direct any application process questions to OUAC.

Additional Application Instructions

Learn more about our specific requirements and read more detailed application procedures. If you're an international student, view our international admission requirements.

Release of Information

If you are a student and you would like to grant consent for the release of information regarding your application to a third party (such as a parent or guardian), you must submit an authorization of information release form. To request this form, email international@wlu.ca or chooselaurier@wlu.ca.

Check Your Email

It is important to check your email often because we will be communicating with you by email over the next few months.

To ensure you receive our emails, add chooselaurier@wlu.ca or international@wlu.ca to your address book or “safe sender” list in your email account. You should also make sure the email address you submitted to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) is up-to-date because that’s how we’ll be communicating with you from now on.

Confirmation of Application Email

Once you have applied to Laurier, you will receive an email from us confirming that we have received your application. This email will contain your LORIS account login information. LORIS is Laurier's Online Registration and Information System.

You will be able to view your application status online through LORIS. You should also use LORIS to view a list of documents we require for your application and to view when we receive your documents. For example: Have you filled out your Applicant Background Summary yet, or sent in your latest transcript (105 applicants)?

Application information is processed in the order in which it is received from OUAC. If you do not receive a confirmation message from us within five days of applying, please check your junk mail first. If you have still not received our email, let us know and we will send you a confirmation. Call 1.519.884.0710 x3385 or email us at chooselaurier@wlu.ca or international@wlu.ca.

Logging in to LORIS for the First Time

  • Go to the LORIS website.
  • Log in using your Laurier Network Login username and temporary password. You will find your login and password in the confirmation of application email we sent you; please check your email.
    • Your temporary password is preset to your date of birth in the format MMDDYYYY. You’ll need to change your password and add secret questions the first time you log in.
  • If you experience issues with logging into LORIS using your Laurier Network username, complete this form to change your Laurier username account password.
    • Note: If you are logging in with your Laurier ID number (instead of your username) and you enter the wrong pin five times, LORIS will lock you out. If this happens, contact Recruitment and Admissions at chooselaurier@wlu.ca or international@wlu.ca to unlock your account.
