    Guidance Counsellors and Educators

Our Recruitment and Admissions office collaborates with educators and institutions around the world to prepare students for their university careers and help them gain admission to Laurier.

    Recruitment and Admissions Resources

As a team, we understand the importance (now more than ever) of offering resources and content in a variety of mediums to allow prospective students and their families the opportunity to participate. Whether from the comfort and convenience of their own home or joining us on one of our two undergraduate campuses, we'll ensure their questions are answered every step of the way.

We encourage interested students to register for a live university information session to learn more about our university. If you have a specific way that you want Laurier to engage with your students, please contact us at recruiters@wlu.ca.

    Admission Updates

The Admissions section of our website will help guide students from application to offer, providing them with step-by-step instructions during each part of the application journey.

Once they apply, they'll gain access to Laurier's applicant portal, where they can monitor the status of their application and complete supplemental forms.

To help your students stay on track with their application, make sure you take note of admission dates and deadlines.

Come explore the beauty and strengths of our Waterloo, Brantford or Milton campuses alongside our passionate student ambassadors.

Our current students will take prospective students on a guided tour so that they can see our campus spaces and start to picture themselves at Laurier. Alternatively, students can watch the pre-recorded tour and explore campus from the comfort of their home.

    Specialist High Skills Majors

We offer full-day events, activities and experiential learning opportunities for Specialist High Skills Majors on the Waterloo and Brantford campuses. Visits qualify as ‘reach ahead’ experiences, which integrate learning experiences with a student’s postsecondary pathway.

    10 Myths About University

Hear from a current Laurier student who will give a presentation on making the transition to university, called ‘The 10 Myths about University.’

    University Preparation

We want to help you support your students and parents by preparing them for the realities of making the academic transition from high school to university. In this presentation, we discuss the differences between the two learning environments and their academic expectations, while offering useful strategies for success and resources to prepare for university.

    Workshops and Guest Lectures

Professors will provide activities and short lessons on hot topics. Students have the opportunity to open their minds to different educational views on what is trending right now.

    Business: Case Study

Professors and university students will interactively walk your students through the business skills needed to examine and problem-solve real business case studies. Your students will use a decision matrix that examines environment, organization, strategy, management preferences and resources.

    Music: Rehearsals and Concerts

Bring your class, orchestra or choir to a concert, event, guest lecture or workshop. You can meet professors and hear current students perform music from a variety of genres.
