As popular as human rights are, they have their limitations and weaknesses. People have rights simply for being human, and yet human rights violations are everywhere. In fact, most of the world’s population enjoys very limited rights and they mean different things in different societies. This short interactive lecture (i.e. the instructor won’t be doing all the talking!) addresses these key questions to illustrate some of the issues that the discipline of human rights addresses.

Join Laurier’s Dr. Sarah Poynter in a microscopy demonstration of ongoing research work showing the comparison between human lung cells that are infected with a coronavirus or treated with a plastic nanoparticle.
