Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Located on Laurier’s Brantford campus, the Laurier Hub for Community Solutions (LHCS) is an intake point, a front door, for groups seeking expertise to address community-based challenges and opportunities.
The LHCS assists community partners in finding the appropriate collaborators for their projects, playing matchmaker between the university’s faculty, researchers, students and research centres, and the broader community.
The LHCS is a community-university service intended to foster supportive and reciprocal relationships between those with research needs and those who can fulfill them. If you are looking to partner with Laurier on a project, the LHCS can help you. Enhance the profile of your organization by collaborating with postsecondary researchers and practitioners, and gain access to the skills and knowledge of the Laurier community.
While the hub is located at the Brantford campus, partners can tap into Laurier’s expertise at all locations, including Waterloo, Kitchener, the Northwest Territories, Milton and their surrounding areas.
The City of Brantford is LHCS’s first official partner. The City of Brantford and Wilfrid Laurier University have collaborated on a number of high impact projects in the past, including:
The LHCS seeks to expand our network to include other municipalities and community service providers whose needs and objectives align with Laurier’s research expertise.
