Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Our Services

The Career Development Centre offers comprehensive employment services to employers. Let us help you connect with our outstanding students and graduates.

  • Recruit at Laurier: The Laurier Career Development Centre provides many complimentary recruitment services to employers, including job and volunteer postings, employer recruiting sessions, fairs and events, resumé/application collection and interview facilities/scheduling (e.g. on campus or over the phone).
  • Enhance your campus presence: Establishing a strong employer brand presence is an important part of marketing successfully to students and alumni. You can make an impact by participating in on-campus events or assisting students in career and job skills development, among other promotional opportunities.
  • Resources and best practices: We offer personalized consulting for your organization’s recruitment activities. Topics include job descriptions, campus presence, recruiting for diversity, salary information, graduate survey data and wage subsidy information.
  • Employer recruiting guidelines: Employer partnerships are important to us. Our guidelines provide you with a framework to recruit most effectively at Laurier.
  • Further education promotion:  Academic institutions are welcome to promote degrees, diplomas and programs that are available to Laurier students after graduation.

Our Students

We think our students and graduates are the best. The Career Development Centre is proud to be a partner in making successful connections between employers and our community.

Laurier has been known for academic excellence for over a century – but in-class learning is only part of the equation. Putting knowledge to work in the real world is a hallmark of the Laurier experience, and it is something employers value in our graduates.

Through comprehensive programming starting in first year, our goal is to equip students and graduates with a combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience that will make an immediate and positive impact on your organization.

  • Academic programs: Laurier offers majors, minors and options in more than 100 programs of study.
  • Well-rounded students: We believe that volunteer work, leadership opportunities and co-op/internship experience should be an integral part for extending classroom learning into the real world.
  • Student demographics: View our Registrar’s Report for detailed information on enrolments by program of study, geographic distribution and biographical parameters.

Laurier Graduate Survey Report

Each year the Career Centre surveys Laurier grads to learn information such as employment rate, career choices and further education choices.

View the report to learn about average starting salaries and where grads go during their first year after Laurier.
