Deposits and Immigration
We provide students with clear guidance on how to accept an offer, pay deposits and begin the study permit process so they feel they are not alone in this journey.
Here’s what the process looks like:
- Accept the offer. Students can accept their offer of admission through the OUAC.
- Pay the tuition deposit. A $2,000 CAD tuition deposit is required to confirm a student’s spot in their program.
- Receive a provincial attestation letter (PAL). After the deposit is submitted, Laurier will request a PAL for the student, a required document for international study permit applications. The student will receive their PAL in their applicant portal within 10 business days.
- Apply for a study permit. Students have access to one-on-one immigration advising and can participate in webinars that guide them through the study permit process and arrival planning.
