Ready to design experiences that make a difference? User Experience (UX) Design is the process of creating digital and other products or services that are user-friendly, intuitive and easy to navigate. UX design shapes how people interact with the world around them and improves experiences through usability, satisfaction, effectiveness, learnability, error tolerance and emotional connection. Solutions can be applied to websites, mobile apps, immersive technologies (VR/AR/MR), physical spaces, service design and complex digital systems. UX design is necessary across many fields and can lead to diverse, in-demand professional opportunities.
The Master of Science (MSc) in UX at Laurier, offered in person on the Brantford campus, will prepare you to launch your UX career through a focus on practical, professional learning so you can build your CV and job ready portfolio.

User Experience (UX) is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that plays a critical role in shaping how people interact with technology, services, systems and spaces.
Ranked among the top 10 best careers globally, UX professionals are consistently in high demand across diverse industries – including retail, healthcare, technology, finance, education, and government – around the globe. User experiences are everywhere and as they become central to everyday life, organizations increasingly rely on UX experts to design intuitive, effective and meaningful interactions that meet both user needs and business goals.
As one of Canada's only graduate programs in the field, our UX program takes a holistic approach, preparing students to design not only digital interfaces such as mobile apps and websites, but also physical products, services, and immersive environments.
You'll start building your portfolio from your first semester in the program and work on real projects with clients from industry, government and community organizations.
A competitive-entry eight-month co-op opportunity is available. Students interested in the co-op stream must select that option at the time of application. Students who apply and are admitted to the coursework stream will work on a client project in their final semester.
