Laurier’s tuba and euphonium studio is a supportive, enthusiastic and dedicated group of students, guided by our talented instructor Jonathan Rowsell.
The size of Laurier’s program offers the chance to have much more personal instruction ranging from technique, solo repertoire, chamber music and orchestral experience.
Instruction is very goal oriented. Pedagogical skills instruction will ensure you can become successful teachers.
You will work weekly with a dedicated professional accompanist. Our studio accompanist, Stephanie Mara, is familiar with an impressive amount of brass repertoire and is amazing to work with.
Admission to the Bachelor of Music is based on the collective results of your audition, academics, theory and ear training test, interview, reference and optional portfolio.
Audition repertoire should be performed at a Grade 8 RCM level or higher. RCM formal training and exams are not required.
