Program Structure

The Lazaridis MMA is organized around 4 pillars: Artificial Intelligence, Data Management, Business Knowledge, and Experience.

Build a Portfolio of Experience in the Field

Employers increasingly expect even entry-level employees to hit-the-ground running able to bring new AI driven tools into value-producing use immediately. Experience helps.

The field project is a critical part of the Lazaridis MMA experience. Over eight months, you will work with a team of your peers to solve a company’s real analytics problem. You’ll work with your fellow students to gain a deep understanding of how the company works build a proposal and implement a solution. You’ll need to communicate and work-with industry stake-holders to ensure that what you build does the job that it needs to.

Working with 3-4 fellow students, you'll prepare a proposal to address underlying managerial issues in the company or organization. In your proposal, you'll address the issue, formulate a well-defined problem from an analytical point of view, and propose a data-driven solution.

After you submit your proposal to your course director and industry rep, you'll gather the required data to structure your analytical solutions, and you'll design and implement the solution. The experience will culminate in your presentation of the findings to a panel of experts from academia and industry.
