  • EN111: Literature and Crime: Examining works in a variety of literary periods and genres (fiction, plays, poetry, graphic novels and others) on the topics of crime and criminality.
  • AF105W: Writing for University: Develop foundational descriptive and evaluative writing skills including summarizing, paraphrasing, and developing arguments.
  • FS100: Introduction to Film Art: The basic elements of film style (cinematography, editing, mise-en-scène, and sound); principles of film narrative and narration; and modes of cinema.
  • WS100: Introduction to Women & Gender Studies: Addressing the history of feminist thought, theories and activism, in addition to topics of contemporary concern. 
  • PP103: Philosophy of Happiness: What is happiness? Explore the concept of happiness practices that are thought to help in achieving happiness (such as mindfulness, meditation, the yoga of laughter, (inter-) connectedness) and practicing gratitude, journaling and music.
