Print | PDFThe Wilfrid Laurier University community mourns the passing of second-year student Jusleen Hayre who died in a tragic accident in Toronto on Dec. 25, 2019.
Jusleen was in a double-degree program at Laurier, working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics. She was involved in a number of campus activities and worked as a math instructional assistant helping other students.
Laurier’s Dean of Students for the Waterloo campus has been in contact with Jusleen’s family to offer support and condolences. A family service for Jusleen has been held in Toronto.
The loss of a student has a significant impact on the entire Laurier community. Support is being coordinated for students and others affected by the loss of Jusleen. Additional assistance can be accessed from the following resources:
