Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Junior University Multidisciplinary Program (JUMP) is a unique campus experience at Wilfrid Laurier University. The program is open to grade 5, 6, 7 and 8 students during the months of May and June and is designed to introduce students to university life.
JUMP is hands-on, educational, informative and fun!
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, JUMP 2020 has been cancelled. We look forward to welcoming schools back to JUMP 2021. Registration will begin in October.
JUMP began in 1994 with six schools. Since then, JUMP has expanded to host over 25,000 students from a range of school boards.
JUMP provides an opportunity for students to experience postsecondary education. Students develop a sense of independence and enhance organizational, critical thinking and team work skills. They gain exposure to a university campus and participate in challenging hands-on courses from multiple fields of study.
During this unique year-end trip, students form new friendships and make lasting memories.
"A fabulous experience for teachers and students. Something for everyone - a fun and educational experience!" -Teacher, Sunnyside Public School
Safety and security are a priority at JUMP. The Special Constable Service department is open 24 hours a day and the residence building is locked at all times.
JUMP is committed to providing inclusive services to all guests visiting the campus. Please contact the JUMP coordinator directly to discuss alternate arrangements.
Laurier Food Services is able to accommodate most dietary restrictions. Parents are asked to indicate any dietary information on the registration form. Please contact the JUMP coordinator directly to discuss special dietary needs.
It is important to have a parking permit prior to parking on campus. Failure to park in designated lots and properly display parking permits may result in a ticket and/or tow. The JUMP office is not responsible for parking tickets.
Schools will decide the policy on whether students can bring electronics to JUMP. JUMP is busy, interactive and fun, and there is limited time for other activities.
Don’t forget to check the weather before your trip and pack accordingly.
Lifeguards are certified by the National Lifesaving Society and Laurier Aquatics, and meet all Ontario Pool Regulations. Prior to entering the pool, students complete a pool safety talk and a swim test. Students must pass the swim test in order to swim in the deep end.
Students who prefer not to swim are able to sit by the pool or on the pool observation deck.
These activities are student favourites - full of energy and team spirit!
