Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

International Waterloo Campus Ambassador
I am passionate about advocating for mental health and well-being. I also take deep interest in exploring diversity and learning about different cultures. I also enjoy cooking for my friends and family, practicing yoga, singing, writing poetry, and playing sports!
Laurier is a small campus and thus, makes up a very closely-knitted and well-connected community. It values diversity and warmly welcomes international students as Golden Hawks. It not only offered the major I was interested in but also introduced me to the concept of ‘Options,’ which would make my degree more valuable and my experience at Laurier more enriching. Laurier also encourages the concept of getting involved, which really fascinated me. Along with all these reasons, Laurier’s positive and friendly environment was one of the biggest reasons I chose to become a Golden Hawk. It has just been a year but this Golden Hawk already feels at home.
The holistic student experience for international and domestic students at Laurier. I'm more than happy to help you get answers for your questions. I look forward to chatting with you!
