Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the Laurier community, staff and faculty are urged to take precautions when planning and attending meetings, whether with other staff and faculty or with the external community. Whenever possible, meetings should be held online (Microsoft Teams allows calls, with or without video, of up to 250 people) or by phone.
When meetings must occur in person, choose to meet in large rooms, where individuals can maintain a distance of at least two metres (six feet) between each other. Avoid in-person meetings of 10 or more people.
These are among the social distancing measures recommended by the Public Health Agency of Canada. Other measures include not shaking hands and avoiding large gatherings, such as conferences and concerts. Visit the Public Health Agency of Canada’s website for more information.
Wilfrid Laurier University continues to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID‑19) situation.
