Wilfrid Laurier University continues to monitor ongoing developments regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), taking into consideration the global situation, public health advice, and the health of our community. For this reason, the university is cancelling or postponing all events not part of courses or academic requirements. Laurier remains open and classes and other required academic requirements continue.
The cancellation or postponement of events not part of courses or academic requirements is from noon March 13 to April 30. Event organizers are responsible for notifying event participants. Further guidance on internal meetings will be forthcoming. We will provide recommendations by mid-April for events planned for May and beyond.
We recognize the impact of this decision on event organizers and appreciate your support as we focus on the well-being of our students, faculty and staff, and community.
Laurier continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and its impacts on campus. Ongoing updates will be made available on the novel coronavirus webpage.
