April 6 key updates:
- Exams start Wednesday, April 8: The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our learning environment. We know this hasn’t been easy but we are here to support you as you prepare for exams. There’s plenty of academic and study help available on Laurier’s new Remote Learning Student Hub site. This site also offers online mental health and social connection resources available to you. And don’t forget to follow #HappyHawks on social media for messages of inspiration!
- Emergency fund: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on our students. As you adjust to an unprecedented end to the academic term, you remain Laurier's top priority. The university has established the Laurier COVID-19 Emergency Fund to help with three main areas of need: emergency financial relief for students, health and wellness supports for students, and investments in teaching and learning technologies to improve student outcomes. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Career planning: The Career Centre is committed to supporting students during these extraordinary times. Online workshops are scheduled in addition to online appointments about career planning, interview preparation (including practicing video interviews), resumés and cover letters, job search and more. Students/alumni are encouraged to register for workshops and book appointments in Navigator. Any questions can be directed to email@example.com.
- Graduate student information: You likely have questions related to registration, progression and degree completion. Please see a new FAQ for graduate students. It provides answers to those questions and more.
