Laurier is making daily decisions and service adjustments to contain the spread of COVID-19. Our goal is to keep the Laurier community informed of these updates in a timely and accurate manner. We’re collecting stories of sharing, helping and kindness submitted by members of university community. Today’s updates include Laurier Health Sciences students who are chatting with seniors across Canada to support them during the COVID-19 pandemic. April 28 key updates:
1. Service Laurier phone service. Service Laurier opened a remote call centre on April 27 to provide phone service Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Service Laurier can be reached at 519.884.0710 x2800. Service Laurier continues to respond to emails at servicelaurier@wlu.ca; however, please allow for additional response time. Up-to-date information about services and processes can be found online.
2. Spring, Intersession and Summer Courses: Laurier will be offering a variety of remote graduate and undergraduate courses during Spring term (May 11-Aug. 5), Intersession (May 11-June 22) and Summer term (July 6-Aug. 17). Taking courses during this time is a great opportunity for students looking to continue their learning and catch up on credits.
To find out which courses are offered during each term, visit the static timetable. Please note that this information is subject to change frequently, and the information found within Browse Classes and LORIS is the most accurate. The deadline to add courses is May 15 for Intersession, May 25 for Spring term and July 10 for Summer term. 3. Frontline Features: As a way to recognize Laurier alumni who are frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Laurier’s Alumni Relations team be doing weekly shout outs across Laurier Alumni social media channels. If you know an alumni who is a frontline worker, please take a minute to nominate them. Look for Laurier Alumni’s frontline features on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
