Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

“Back to school” is going to look a lot different for all members of Laurier’s student learning community this term – including everyone in our lifelong learning community.

Taking into consideration public health advice and the health of our community, the university discontinued all in-person instruction for the spring, intersession and summer terms for 2020. The university is working closely with public health authorities to determine when and how to facilitate a safe return to classrooms this fall.

In the meantime, we are excited to offer Lifelong Learning at Home, a free weekly series with pre-recorded lectures from some well-known Laurier faculty and community experts.

Schedule and Topics

The series launched on Tuesday, May 12 at noon and videos were posted weekly until June 30.

Lecture Details

Lifelong Learning at Home is free and open to everyone – no registration required!

Each lecture will be about one hour in length. Lecture pages include the video, an instructor biography, lecture details and additional resources related to the topic.

We encourage you to share links to the lecture pages with friends and family to continue the discussion and extend your learning experience!

Lifelong Learning at Home was created to connect people through lifelong learning during this time of unprecedented challenges. Many Laurier students are experiencing significant financial difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you are in a position to do so, you can help us support our students by donating to Laurier's COVID-19 Emergency Fund, which provides emergency financial support, health and wellness support and teaching and learning support during this challenging time.
