March 16, 2020

Wilfrid Laurier University is cancelling all research activities that involve face-to-face interactions with members of the public, effective March 16 to April 30, 2020. We will re-evaluate the end date as the situation develops.
This is one of an ongoing series of measures being implemented by the university to help contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The university is also requiring that all researchers (including their graduate students and research assistants) increase cleaning and hygiene measures for research that involves shared equipment or other shared facilities.
We also encourage other basic protective actions such as social distancing from others, regular hand-washing and staying home when you are sick. For more practical tips, please visit the prevention page of the university’s coronavirus website.
Laurier researchers can obtain additional information by contacting the Office of Research Services by email at: research@wlu.ca. For non-research related information, please visit the university’s coronavirus website or email: coronavirusquestions@wlu.ca.
