Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

I completed a Master of Social Work at Laurier in 2011 and since then I've been employed in a variety of social service sectors.
I have practice as a child protection worker, a clinical social worker for children and adolescents and a cultural diversity advisor at the university level. I specialize in individual counselling with children, adolescents and young adults using a range of therapeutic styles, including narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I also have certification in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. I develop and deliver a number of training sessions and workshops on a variety of topics including diversity, anti-oppression, mental health and religion.
