Explore Our Programs
Beginner Level: Covers Royal Conservatory Levels 1-4. Ideal for students preparing for beginner to intermediate level practical exams who have had minimal or no prior theory instruction.
Intermediate Level: Covers Royal Conservatory Levels 5 and 6. Ideal for students who are preparing for intermediate to advanced level practical exams who have either completed the Beginner Level Course or the Level 4 RCM exam, or an equivalency test.
Advanced Level: Covers Royal Conservatory Levels 7 and 8. Ideal for students who are preparing for advanced level practical exams who have either completed the Intermediate Level Course or the Level 6 RCM exam, or an equivalency test.
*Students who have not completed a prior exam or class may request an equivalency test to assess their eligibility for intermediate & advanced classes.
**Classes will prepare students for RCM Theory Exams, but classes do not include the official exam or cover the RCM exam fees. Students must register for exams independently through the RCM website.
This fall to spring course is a complete overview in Elementary Music Rudiments and is recommended for students working on intermediate to advanced level practical exams. Students do not need to complete a prior theory program as the class will review beginner level material including basic notation and will progress to advanced levels of understanding. This course will prepare students for the Level 8 RCM Theory curriculum.
This 20-week course includes 90 minute weekly classes. Students will be expected to complete homework assignments outside of class hours.
