As outlined in the call for nominations, Wilfrid Laurier University seeks individuals to serve on the Board of Governors who combine proven strategic leadership with a passion for Laurier, and who have demonstrated organizational and community involvement and the professional skills/expertise identified as priorities for the Board.

Board members are volunteers who contribute time, wisdom and oversight to Laurier, with a legal fiduciary duty to the good of the institution and its future. They assess sensitive, confidential matters and help university leaders navigate challenging issues. Serving on Laurier’s Board is a significant contribution to an institution devoted to inspiring lives of leadership and purpose.
