Look into Laurier

Join us at Laurier

Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Laurier offers the international community many opportunities in obtaining a great Canadian academic experience. We have two full-service campuses in Waterloo and Brantford, Ontario, both of which offer a great student experience. Check out our top 10 reasons to choose Laurier.

We currently have academic partnerships with more than 60 universities all over the world. If you are currently a student at one of Laurier's partner schools, we would like to invite you to participate in our study exchange program.

If you are interested in studying at Laurier for one term or a year, but your institution does not have an exchange agreement with Laurier, you may be eligible to register at Laurier on a letter of permission. You will need to submit an application for admission to the Ontario Universities Application Centre and your home university will need to submit a letter of permission and a transcript to Enrolment Services, Wilfrid Laurier University.

We look forward to welcoming you to Laurier!

How to Apply

This information is for students at universities that have exchange agreements with Laurier.

  1. Ask your university's exchange coordinator to complete the online nomination form.
  2. We will send you an electronic application after the nomination deadline (see below). You are responsible for completing the application by the required application deadline. You will need to choose courses on the application. We will work to have you enrolled in your top course choices but there is no guarantee they will be available. Laurier International will be in contact with you regarding course registration prior to arrival.

We will provide incoming exchange applicants with information regarding pre-departure, accommodations, international orientation and more following the application deadline.
