I am a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University who holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance where I studied with Guy Few. I am an active member of multiple ensembles in the area such as the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra and the Wellington Winds Symphony.
My journey with the trumpet began in high school, sparked by an influential band teacher who introduced me to the world of brass instruments! This early encouragement laid the foundation for a lifelong love of music and a strong belief in the importance of mentorship and music education. With my experience playing in chamber groups such as brass trios, quintets, 10 piece, and brass ensembles, I am a strong advocate for the importance of growth and learning through music and collaboration.
I firmly believe that being a great teacher depends on the ability to lead by example and inspire students to find creative ways to learn! Having a positive and outgoing outlook on learning new things at any age will make it easier to learn and grow as a person and musician.
