Hello! I am a choral conductor and mezzo-soprano from Toronto, Ontario who currently makes her home in Kitchener-Waterloo. I am a graduate of the Master of Music Conducting program at Memorial University of Newfoundland (2021), and I also hold a Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in Voice Performance and Music Education (2018). I have also recently completed my Bachelor of Education through Memorial University this fall (2022) to build my teaching skills in the classroom and the studio.
I have been singing for as long as I can remember. Some events I have had the pleasure of experiencing are being selected to participate in the National Youth Choir (2020), an independent recital of contemporary and new music work for solo voice and harp (2019) and performing the Alto soloist part for Handel’s Messiah with the Menno Singers Community Choir from Waterloo, ON (2017).
I also love – love! – to work with choirs. I am a passionate advocate for building community connections through song. A few choirs I have had the privilege of working with include the Atlantic Girls Choir, Cantus Vocum Chamber Choir, and Shallaway’s Lauda choir, and the Memorial University Glee Community Singers.
My goal as a teacher is to help you build on the skills you already have. Together, we can work towards your singing goals through fun and engaging methods. There’s a reason musicians “play” music – it’s meant to be enjoyable!
