Experience the community spirit that makes Laurier so special. Join us on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on our Brantford campus.
Register in advance to receive important updates and reminders leading up to the event.
Attending a campus open house is one of the best times to learn about university life and find out what it's like to be a Laurier Golden Hawk. Students, staff and faculty can't wait to greet you and answer your questions.
Event details are still being finalized. If you register, we'll email you to let you know when the full schedule is published.
This information was last updated on February 14, 2020.
Laurier has ranked #1 in student satisfaction for four years in a row (Maclean's University Rankings).
Student-led campus tours cover essential campus buildings and student recreational spaces. Touring residence is a separate part of the event.
We'll do our best to keep you out of the cold, but don’t forget to wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes. The tours showcase our downtown campus, which requires walking both within and between buildings.
Current students are giving tours of our apartment-style residence options and can answer questions you have about living in residence.
Meet with admissions to have your application reviewed one-to-one. If you meet the admission requirements, you could receive an offer of admission on the spot!
If you’ve already received your offer, we can show you how to accept your offer on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre.
Meet representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, Laurier International, Athletics, the Students' Union and more.
Connect with current students and Laurier faculty members to discuss your program in more detail. Chat about courses, opportunities to get involved and more while you discover what your student experience has in store for you.
Although it’s too early to choose courses, we know it's exciting to know what opportunities are out there and how course registration works. Take this opportunity to connect with academic advising staff and find out what to expect.
Program sessions provide an overview of the program's academics, courses and what you can expect as a student. Non-academic sessions, such as residence and financial aid, will also be available.
An event schedule will be finalized by early March to help you plan your visit.
We recommend registering to receive email updates about parking.
We highly recommend parking in our designated event parking. The Market Centre Parkade is free for open house guests. It's located at 59 Icomm Drive, which is adjacent to our Brantford campus. Volunteers and signage will help you get to and from the parkade.
You can grab a complimentary parking voucher in the Research and Academic Centre, which can be given to the parking attendant when you leave.
There is free street parking (two and three hours) on the city streets in Brantford's downtown. The city will ticket cars that exceed the posted time limit.
Our custom event map can help you get to the Market Centre Parkade and to the Research and Academic Centre. There will also be volunteers and signage to direct you to and from the Parkade.
If Google Maps asks you to log in to view the map, try opening the map in a new browser. Note: The custom map works best in the Google Maps mobile app.
If you have an accessible parking permit, please contact Rachel Cavin (firstname.lastname@example.org) in advance so that we can make personalized accommodations.
Try Golden Grounds Coffee in the Research and Academic Centre lobby. Or venture around campus, which is near to many local favourites:
If you are unable to attend our March Break Open House, you can book a campus tour using the Campus Tour Request Form. Tours are offered Monday to Friday and most Saturdays.
