Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Experience the community spirit that makes Laurier so special. Join us on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on our Brantford campus.

Register in advance to receive important updates and reminders leading up to the event.

What You Can Do at Open House

Attending a campus open house is one of the best times to learn about university life and find out what it's like to be a Laurier Golden Hawk. Students, staff and faculty can't wait to greet you and answer your questions.

  • Take a campus tour with a current student as your guide.
  • Tour residence buildings and see real residence rooms.
  • Meet with admissions one-to-one and have your application reviewed. You could receive an offer of admission on the spot!
  • Browse information fairs and speak with students, staff and faculty.
  • Attend information sessions on programs, campus life and student services.

We'll do our best to keep you out of the cold, but don’t forget to wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes. The tours showcase our downtown campus, which requires walking both within and between buildings.

Parking Information

We recommend registering to receive email updates about parking.

Parking Instructions

We highly recommend parking in our designated event parking. The Market Centre Parkade is free for open house guests. It's located at 59 Icomm Drive, which is adjacent to our Brantford campus.  Volunteers and signage will help you get to and from the parkade.

You can grab a complimentary parking voucher in the Research and Academic Centre, which can be given to the parking attendant when you leave.

There is free street parking (two and three hours) on the city streets in Brantford's downtown. The city will ticket cars that exceed the posted time limit.

Custom Event Google Map

Our custom event map can help you get to the Market Centre Parkade and to the Research and Academic Centre. There will also be volunteers and signage to direct you to and from the Parkade.

If Google Maps asks you to log in to view the map, try opening the map in a new browser. Note: The custom map works best in the Google Maps mobile app.

Accessible Parking

If you have an accessible parking permit, please contact Rachel Cavin (rcavin@wlu.ca) in advance so that we can make personalized accommodations.
