Being a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Applied Economics (BA)

 waterloo

Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Applied Economics program provides a strong background in economics with an applied theoretical and empirical approach to understand, interpret and explore the issues and challenges in today’s society. The Applied Economics program is flexible – meaning you can combine this program with another one, and earn two majors.

Note: students in our Applied Economics program are not eligible for co-op. However, if you meet the progression requirements and transfer from Applied Economics to Economics by the end of your first year, you can then apply to co-op.
