Print | PDFWith school soon coming to an end in Waterloo Region and Brantford-Brant, it’s time to consider summer camps for kids. Laurier offers engaging summer camp opportunities designed to develop leadership and teamwork skills through fun, interactive activities.
Below is a list of summer camps with spots still available. Your child’s summer adventure awaits!
Golden Hawk Multi-Sport Camp runs weekly from July 2 to Aug. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The camp is for children aged five to nine (junior) and 10 to 12 (senior) and held at University Stadium. Camps include themed weeks, such as Harry Potter and Disney, dress-up days and swim days. Extended care hours available.
Boys Basketball Camp for children aged eight to 14 runs from July 29 to Aug. 3 and Aug. 19 to Aug. 23. The camp is held at the Athletic Complex gym. Kids of all skill levels and playing abilities are encouraged to sign up. Extended care hours are available.
Girls Basketball Camp for children aged eight to 15 runs from Aug. 12 to Aug. 16. The camp is held at the Athletic Complex gym. Kids of all skill levels and playing abilities are encouraged to sign up. Extended care hours are available.
Boys Hockey School and Sports Camp for children aged seven to 13 runs from Aug. 12 to Aug. 16 and Aug. 19 to Aug. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The camps are held at RIM Park in Waterloo and kids of all skill levels and abilities are encouraged to sign up. Extended care hours are available.
Female Hockey Camp for children seven to 10 runs from Aug. 26 to Aug. 30 at RIM Park in Waterloo. Extended care hours are available.
Laurier High Performance Camp runs from Aug. 6 to Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. The camp is for athletes aged 13 to 17 who are currently participating in any sport at a competitive level. Extended care hours are available.
Golden Hawk Leader-in-Training Camp is a two-week camp with sessions running throughout the summer that introduces children to the fundamentals of leadership. The camp is for teens aged 13 to 16 and held at University Stadium in Waterloo.
The Laurier Enriched Academic Program (LEAP) is a camp for gifted and highly able children and youth in Grade 1 to Grade 9. Children will engage in learning activities that promote higher thinking skills. Summer registration is now closed. Winter camps run Saturday mornings from January through March. Summer Specialty Sports and Skills Camp runs weekly from July 2 until Aug. 30. Children aged six to 13 will have the opportunity to learn and play a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball, pickleball and floor hockey. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with extended care options available. The camp is held at the Laurier Brantford YMCA.
