As a visitor to Laurier, it will be hard to miss the school spirit and the close-knit community we have built here. Located one hour away from Toronto, our campuses are in the middle thriving and culturally diverse communities.

Welcome Centre

Visiting our campuses and in need of more information? Start by dropping by our Welcome Centre. We can have your questions about our campus answered and provide you with parking information and maps so you can navigate around our campuses.

We are located on the Waterloo campus in the Bricker Academic Building (BA103). Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feel free to contact us at 519.884.0710 x2157 or by email at welcomecentre@wlu.ca.

Campus Tours

If you plan on sticking around for a while and would like to learn more about our campuses, feel free to book a campus tour. Our student ambassadors can show you around our Waterloo or Brantford campuses. On our 1.5 hour tours, you will be able to cover areas of our campuses including academic and faculty buildings, dining options, athletic and recreation facilities and more.

Dining on Campus

If you’re looking for a place to eat, there are plenty of choices on our campuses. Laurier Food Services offers a wide variety of food options to meet all of your needs.

In Waterloo, our on-campus food options include the Fresh Food Company, BYTE 75 Coffee & Social (located in Lazaridis Hall), the Terrace Food Court or Wilf’s Restaurant and Bar (both located in the Fred Nichols Centre), and many more. All on-campus food service locations accept Interact, Visa and Mastercard.

Our Brantford campus is conveniently located in the heart of downtown where you can visit plenty of unique restaurants and cafés to satisfy your appetite.

Guest Wi-Fi Access

Guest wireless service is intended for Laurier guests which may include visiting professors, professional colleagues, conference delegates or contractors. As a guest of the university, you can have access to Laurier’s Wi-Fi network if you are sponsored by a Laurier faculty or staff member. Your sponsored faculty or staff member will put through the appropriate request with our Information and Communication Technologies team to grant you access to our network. Plan ahead as it takes at least two business days for your access to be granted.

Explore Our Community

Step outside of our campus and discover the vibrant communities where our campuses are located.

In Waterloo, the region offers plenty of hiking trails, golf courses, skating rinks and even a ski hill. About two blocks away, you can explore the beautiful scenery at Waterloo Park. Explore both the St. Jacob’s Farmers Market as well as the Kitchener Market and discover what our local artisans have to offer. For visitors interested in arts and culture, don’t forget to pay a visit to The Museum or miss the K-W Symphony perform at the Centre in the Square.

Full of arts, culture and heritage, as a Brantford campus visitor, you will not have a shortage of activities to keep you busy. Learn more about Brantford’s heritage by visiting their many museums and historic sites. Boasting a small town feels with big city amenities, visitors to our Brantford campus will feel right at home.
