Parking and Transportation
There are 160 student parking permits available on a first come, first assigned basis. These spots are owned by the City of Kitchener who provides student parking at current Laurier rates. The parking permits will be honoured at the Waterloo campus in the white permit areas only at no additional cost.

Parking in Downtown Kitchener: The City of Kitchener provides convenient, safe and accessible parking facilities downtown. There are over 3,000 off-street parking spaces and over 350 free two-hour on-street parking opportunities. A toonie in any one of the parking structures buys you a maximum of three hours.

Directions to the Faculty of Social Work
We are located at 120 Duke St. Kitchener between College and Young, directly behind the Kitchener City Hall on King St.
From East (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal)
Follow Highway 401 westbound to Highway # 8 west exit (exit 278) towards Kitchener-Waterloo. Merge onto Provincial Route #8 west. Follow Highway 8 until you see King Street which will take you to Downtown Kitchener. Follow King St. E. for 3.1 km and turn right onto Young Street.
From West (Detroit, Windsor, London)
Follow Highway 401 eastbound to Highway # 8 west exit (exit 278B) towards Kitchener-Waterloo. Turn slightly right onto King Street East / Shantz Hill Road / Provincial Route 8 / RR8. Follow Highway 8 until you see King Street (Hwy 8 W becomes King Street East) which will take you to Downtown Kitchener. Follow King St. E. for 3.1 km and turn right onto Young Street.
Follow the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) in the "Toronto" direction across the Burlington Skyway (one hour). Take Exit 100 West onto Highway 403 westbound. Take 403 west to Highway 6 North to Highway 401), at the village of Morriston. Continue westbound on Highway 401 to exit 278 (45 minutes) where you will exit for Kitchener. Merge onto Provincial Route #8 west. Follow Highway 8 until you see King Street which will take you to Downtown Kitchener. Follow King St. E. for 3.1 km and turn right onto Young Street.
Accessibility: There are two designated accessible parking spaces in the College Street lot. Also, the College Street entrance is wheelchair accessible. Students and visitors who require accessible parking must make arrangements with the Accessible Learning office on the Waterloo campus.
Transit: Grand River Transit: The FSW building on Duke Street is located two blocks from the GRT terminal at 15 Charles Street West.
The iXpress service is a fast bus service (under 15 minutes) that runs from the Charles St. Terminal to Laurier (University and Hazel). This service runs from 6 am to 7:30 pm - every 15 minutes during the morning and afternoon rush and every 30 minutes during the midday.
Bike Access: Bike racks will be available behind the building for those who bike to the Kitchener campus.
