Welcome to Laurierís School of Business & Economics. As Director of the PhD and Research-Based Masters in Management Programs, it is my privilege to oversee the development of students interested in pursuing advanced research in management from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Our School has a long history of attracting outstanding students and developing them into leaders with the skills demanded by a rapidly changing and complex global business environment. It is in this intensive and engaging learning environment that we offer our doctoral and masters programs. Founded on intellectual rigor, a culture of collaboration and the desire to develop useful frameworks and insights for the business environment, our programs seek to advance knowledge and practice by supporting both theoretical and applied research.
Our candidates graduate with the skills, knowledge, and experience in demand by universities, industry, and government, including the ability to conduct leading edge research, teach in top business schools and develop close working relationships with key researchers in their fields.
We are highly selective, accepting just a few candidates annually into each program. Candidates have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects with renowned faculty and other graduate students, co-author publications, and participate in research seminars. They develop the analytical skills critical for understanding and researching the management process in a challenging and stimulating environment. By the time students reach the dissertation stage, they will have a thorough understanding of their discipline, the ability to identify opportunities for new frameworks and insights, and the technical ability to turn those opportunities into published research.
Working together, our faculty, students and I will provide you with the best graduate education available. If your goal is to become a creative and productive researcher studying business management problems, you should give serious consideration to either the Doctoral or Masters Programs at Laurierís School of Business & Economics.
I welcome your questions, and encourage you to contact us for further information.
