Information for students coming into year 1 of any program offered by the Department of Physics & Computer Science.

Available starting April 28
Calculus Preparation Evaluation (CPE) available online. You must write this test before registering for your calculus course - MA103 or MA110*.  The earlier you write this test, the earlier you can register for your calculus course and set up a better schedule for yourself. See Selecting your calculus course .
May 1 First date to log into LORIS and register for courses
May 1 Application deadline for OUAC (students not coming from Ontario high school)
June - July

Faculty of Science HeadStart program

HeadStart dates for all of our programs (Computer Science, Computing & Computer Electronics, Photonics, Physics, Business and Computer Science, Business and Computing & Computer Electronics) are:
  Tuesday, June 3
  Thursday, June 5
  Thursday, June 26
  Thursday, July 3
  Tuesday, July 8
  Thursday, July 10

May 29 All decisions (conditional offer of admission, refusal, or deferral - pending the receipt of specific additional information) will have been issued to all Ontario Secondary School (101) applicants.
June 2, 11:59 pm Deadline to accept (confirm) your offer of admission through the OUAC.
June 2, 11:59 pm Deadline to submit the Residence Application and deposit to Residential Services to benefit from our guarantee of residence.
June 23 Upper year students start to register for courses. Strongly recommend that you register for courses before this date, especially elective courses.
June 30 Deadline to fulfill conditions on Offers of Admission
July 22 Late registration charge. Avoid this charge by selecting at least one course prior to this date.
Reality check: If you leave registration until the end of July, you'll probably be unhappy with your schedule.
Late July Entrance Scholarships are finalized.
August 31 and September 1 Residence move-in days. Orientation Week begins for first-year students.
September 4 Fall term begins.
October 16 (?) Submit profile to be considered for the 2014/2015 academic year scholarship and award opportunities; see Student Awards
