Updated November 1, 2012

Program Contact:  Graduate Assistant  edugrad@wlu.ca

Only part-time studies will be offered for 2013-2014.

The Master of Education Program can be completed part-time for both the course-based option and the thesis option. The thesis option is strongly recommended only for those students/applicants who have a strong interest and commitment to conducting educational research, such as those who may pursue doctoral studies in the future. The courses-only option requires the completion of ten-half courses. Thesis option requires six half-courses plus the completion of a thesis. Continuous enrolment is required for the duration of the degree.

The Master of Education Program may be completed full-time for the thesis option only. Full-time studies are recommended only for those students/applicants who have a strong interest and commitment to conducting educational research, such as those who may pursue doctoral studies in the future. Thesis option requires six half-courses plus the completion of a thesis. Continuous enrolment is required for the duration of the degree.

The Master of Education Program has a spring/summer start date each year. Students should plan to be in classes during days in the month of July.

For detailed information about courses and completion times see the Master of Education Program Handbook.

Please note: Master of Education admissions for 2013-2014 are suspended until further notice.
