Phonathon

The Phonathon program is made up entirely of current Laurier students who seek to connect with alumni, updating them on current events and campus developments, answering any questions they may have, and seeking their financial support of the university.

Established more than 10 years ago, the Phonathon programhas become an integral part of the university's annual fundraising program, as well as an ongoing employment opportunity for Laurier students. Students who prove themselves in the program have the opportunity to become part of the program's supervisory team. We teach management and communication skills to our students and help foster what is sure to be a lifelong commitment to philanthropy. Our students are enthusiastic and dedicated!

Students contact alumni Sunday through Thursday evenings during the academic year to raise support for Laurier. They update alumni records, provide information on what's happening on campus, and answer any questions alumni may have about the school.

Our purpose is not only to increase alumni participation and raise dollars. Most importantly, we want our alumni to feel connected to Laurier. We want alumni to feel the same way they did when they first set foot on campus. So whether you graduated last year or 50 years ago, we look forward to reminding you of your Laurier days! We would like to hear about your calls with our university representatives. If you have any questions, or would like to update your telephone number to ensure you hear from our students, please feel free to email us at annualgiving@wlu.ca.
