Electrical Safety



Electrical Safety is the responsibility of all people who work on energized electrical equipment.

WORKPLACE ELECTRICAL SAFETY PROGRAM

To ensure the safety of employees this policy must be followed any time an employee works on energized electrical equipment. This Workplace Electrical Safety Policy will apply during any work on testing, troubleshooting or verification that involves exposed energized electrical parts where a person, their tools, or test probes could come into contact with power.

SAFE MANAGEMENT OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

This program provides requirements and procedures relating to the management of electrical hazards for the university community to safely use common electrical wiring and devices such as power bars, extension cords, plugs, receptacles and other common electrical appliances.
