Administrative Staff Election
The WLU Act provides for staff representation on both Board of Governors and Senate. There is one administrative staff position elected to Senate and two positions elected to the Board of Governors. Representatives serve a three-year term.
The process for the election of Board representatives is set out in University Policy 14.3. Elections for Administrative Staff Representatives to the Board.
Election of Senate representatives is governed by Senate By-Law 3.7.
An election was held for an upcoming vacancy on the Board of Governors, with voting open to all members of administrative staff from April 2 - April 8, 2014.
Nirushan Philip was elected as an administrative staff representative position on the Board of Governors for a term to run July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2017.
