Waterloo Campus

Athletics Complex

The Athletics Complex has an AED System on site as well as the following features and services: 

Main Entrance
• Elevator access to all levels of the facility
• All entrances have accessible wheelchair access

Pool
• Pool Lift
• Pool Gallery has accessible entrances and seating
• Two alternative viewing areas
• All life guards are AODA trained
 
Fitness Center
• Equipment available for all facility users
• The Fit Center is all on one level
• Wide pathways for mobility
• All entrances have accessible wheelchair access
• Dedicated attendant to the Fitness Center

Change Rooms
• Lockers accessible to all patrons of the facility
• Both change rooms have accessible showers and washroom facilities
• Emergency alarms in both change room and accessible washroom on the bottom level of the facility

Gymnasium
• Accessible wheelchair entrance
• Accessible seating available in the bleachers

Recreation Classes
• Dance Class for Persons with Disabilities – “Feel the Beat” (Thursday Evenings)

Facility Staff
• All staff that work for the facility (life guards, personal trainers, recreation staff, desk attendants) are AODA trained

Knight – Newbrough Field
• All entrances to the field are wheelchair accessible
• On game days, the field may be accessed through main entrance (as opposed to gates) so that lines can be avoided if necessary
• Accessible seating area with great view of the field

Parking
• The Stadium offers accessible parking at all times
