A Place for Holistic Creative Healing
The Delton Glebe Centre offers counselling and preventative mental health services on a sliding fee scale to individuals including children and youth, couples and families living in Waterloo Region.
A Walk-In Clinic is open on Thursdays from 1:45-7:00 pm., with the last appointment at 5:30 pm.
A Drop-In Grief Cafe is offered on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30 pm. Drop in and share your experience of loss and listen to others' stories through a facilitated conversation. The Drop-In Cafe is free of charge and open to the community.
The Glebe Centre utilizes a model of counselling that encourages creative healing opportunities using talk therapy, art, music, drumming, play therapy, etc. We will work collaboratively with you to assess the most appropriate way to respond to yoru concerns. While a short term model of counselling will be used when it is deemed appropriate through careful assessment, a longer term model of therapy will also be available to appropriate client situations.
The Centre has a professional staff of counsellors, professionals seeking supervised practice for certification and a practicum placement for graduate students. Grief Cafe - Tuesdays at 4:00-5:30 Free
A drop-in group for individuals who have experienced a loss such as death of a loved one, job, beloved pet, personal health or any other personal loss. Come and share your story and listen to the stories of others in a facilitated group conversation.
Playing with Puppies - Stress Relief
Here are some pictures of the puppies that visited with the students at Wilfrid Laurier University last week as a way of destressing and relaxing in preparation for exams! More than a 120 students visited with Jager and Sinder. Stay tuned to the website in January for upcoming oppotunities to have a pet visit.
