Laurier Alumni invited to complete survey
Communications, Public Affairs & Marketing
Laurier’s 85,000 alumni are being asked to share their opinion of the alumni services, benefits and programming that matter most to them. Alumni have until Friday, May 30 to complete the survey, which is led by the Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) team in partnership with the Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association (WLUAA).
Alumni that complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win a $1,000 pre-paid MasterCard sponsored by BMO. The survey is available at www.laurieralumni.ca/survey.
“Our goal in alumni relations is to strengthen the ties between alumni and Laurier,” says Tania John, acting director of Alumni Relations, Annual Giving & Stewardship. “This survey is a chance to hear directly from our alumni about how they want to engage with the university. We will be adjusting our programs based on their feedback, so that we can make sure that our alumni continue to feel connected to Laurier.”
Since 2000, Laurier’s alumni community has nearly doubled, growing from 48,249 to 85,420 with over 45 per cent of alumni graduating in the last 14 years. The alumni relations team has responded to changes in the alumni population by offering new programs and finding innovative ways to engage alumni.
Events have doubled in the last three years and alumni engagement has expanded outside of DAR to include increased interaction with faculty and students. Numerous alumni offer their time and resources to enrich the student experience.
All alumni, including those employed at Laurier, are encouraged to participate and to share the survey with their Laurier alumni friends. Please visit www.laurieralumni.ca/survey to complete the 2014 Laurier Alumni Survey.
