Review to commence for Laurier’s Vice-President: Student Affairs

In accordance with University procedures and prior to the end of the appointment term, review committees are established to review the work of vice-presidents and to make recommendations to Senate and Board of Governors regarding their renewal.

David McMurray’s current term as Vice-President: Student Affairs ends on May 31, 2015. 

A call for Nominations will go out shortly for eligible positions on the review committee.  

The membership of the Review Committee for the Vice-President: Student Affairs shall be composed of 16 voting members as follows: 

• The President who shall chair the committee; 
• 1 external member of the Board of Governors; 
• 1 Dean of an undergraduate academic unit;
• 1 Director reporting to the Vice-President Student Affairs; 
• 3 undergraduate students; 
• 1 graduate student; 
• 1 staff member; 
• 5 tenured Faculty Members elected by the University Faculty Council (including one member from Brantford)
• 2 Senate Members elected by Senate. 

The committee will meet February through April 2014.

Written input from the University community is gathered as part of each review. Calls for Submissions of this input will be posted later in January and will be due to the committee in mid-February.
