WATERLOO – Representatives from 40 summer camps and programs will host exhibits at Wilfrid Laurier University’s 2013 Summer Camp Fair, giving parents one-stop access to summer camp options for their children. The fair takes place Thursday, Feb. 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Science Building courtyard on Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
“The fair gives parents and children a chance to meet representatives from many camps and ask questions about their programs in person,” said organizer Rebecca Kieswetter. “We hope it will make it easier for families to choose the camp that’s right for their children.”
Camps with exhibits at the fair include day camps and overnight camps, with programs ranging from sports and arts to science and music.
The university also offers its own summer children’s camps, including a number of sports camps run by Laurier Athletics and Recreation, and BrainWorx run by Laurier’s Department of Psychology. Representatives from the Laurier camps will be in attendance at the fair.
