People at Laurier

Greg Overholt ('08), Bachelor of Business Administration and Computer Science 2011 was another big year for Laurier alumnus Greg Overholt, who earned an Ontario Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Social Innovation category. The Globe and Mail also named him one of Toronto’s hottest young entrepreneurs. Overholt is the executive director and creator of Students Offering Support (SOS), a non-profit organization that supports first- and second-year students with exam preparation while also raising money for development projects. Since it was founded in 2005, SOS has raised more than $700,000 for sustainable development projects in Latin America and tutored more than 12,000 students.
