Baldev Raj is currently Economics Professor Emeritus at the School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and one of three Honorary Board Members of Empirical Economics journal as of 2009; also he serves as a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Arts Gallery Board from 2004 until 2010 along with serving on its Finance and Endowment Committees as a member.
He is author or co-author of several peer- reviewed journal articles, chapters in books, books, and conference papers. A sample of Honors includes: Appointment as the University Research Professor (1989-90); Elected Member of the American Academy for the Advancement of Sciences, USA (1996-1999); Who’s who in Canadian Business, Toronto University Press (2001-04); Elected Member of the Executive Council, Canadian Economics Association (1995-1997). A sample of areas of research and teaching interests includes: microeconomics; macroeconomics; econometrics; time series analysis; economic growth theory and economic policy; monetary economics; governance issues, and the role of economics and political institutions in economic growth; topics in business economics.
