Canadian Excellence

To all Concurrent Education students,

Please be advised that Nipissing University has notified Wilfrid Laurier University that it plans to wind down our partnership to deliver the Concurrent Education program in Brantford.

Students currently enrolled in Concurrent Education will be supported for the duration of their studies in order to help them graduate on schedule.

Nipissing has decided not to participate in admitting new students to the program for the 2015-16 academic year, and it plans to withdraw from the partnership entirely once the last cohort of current students completes the program in 2019.

Laurier is exploring possible options for admitting new students next year and continuing the program beyond the current cohort of existing students.

Please be assured that Laurier will do all it can to support those currently enrolled in Concurrent Education to complete their degrees. This is an exceptional and well-respected program and we will do everything necessary to ensure a continued high-quality experience for our students.

Laurier will keep you advised of any new developments in this situation. Should you have questions, please feel free to contact us at lbacademicadvising@wlu.ca

Thank you for your understanding.

Dr. Heidi Northwood, Dean: Faculty of Liberal Arts

Dr. Deb MacLatchy, Vice-President: Academic & Provost?
