The high prevalence of abuse and other adverse experiences in childhood suggests that all healthcare practitioners work unknowingly and knowingly with adult survivors of physical violence and psychological trauma on a daily basis; this fact underscores the importance of ensuring that every healthcare practitioner provides trauma-informed care at all times.
This workshop has been approved for 1.5 category A CEUs by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
