Born and raised on The County, also known to visitors as Prince Edward County, a small island south of Belleville which specializes mainly in tourism and good times, I was one of 5 children. After graduating from Prince Edward Collegiate Institute, I attended Loyalist College in Belleville and graduated with a 2-year Business Administration diploma, as well, participated on the Men's Varsity Soccer team each year at Loyalist. It was this experience which provided me the confidence to move forward with my academic pursuits. Eventually, I graduated from Brock University with a First Class Honours degree in Sport Management, as well, the University of Windsor with a Master of Human Kinetics degree.
I am actively involved in sports and recreation, both as an administrator and participant. Currently, I am happily locked down with the following:
- Tournament Captial of Ontario (TCO) Board Member
- President of Brantford Co-Ed Volleyball
- Head Coach for Brantford Under 21 Womens Soccer team
- Participate locally in soccer, softball and volleyball leagues
- Avid golfer
- Master of Human Kinetics, M.H.K., Sport Management, University of Windsor, 2005
- Bachelor of Sport Management, B.S.M., Brock University, 2003
- Business Administration, Loyalist College, 1999
I am absolutely delighted that the staff and faculty of Wilfrid Laurier University gave me the opportunity to join their team. I am 120% ready and eager to contribute to this outstanding university's already stellar reputation! The recreation program that I plan to develop will no doubt benefit the community, the school, the staff and faculty and of course, the students!
I offer Laurier Brantford a wealth of knowledge and experience in the area of recreation and athletic administration. My objective is to contribute to the overall student life experience here at Laurier Brantford through various recreational programs, activities and intramurals.
Fair play, sportsmanship, and teamwork will be the catalyst for our success!
Sports, sports, sports!
Spending time with my wife Mary Ann, friends, family and most definitely my dogs, Maddie & Toby
Traveling, camping and simply being outdoors
Suggestions are always welcome. If you have an idea and the support of other students, by all means, stop by my office and discuss this with me. My goal is to provide a recreation program which satisfies every need of the student.
Keep in mind - there are many opportunities for students to get involved. Volunteers are always welcome. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for opportunities around campus.
