Ravi completed his BA at Brock University, double majoring in psychology and philosophy. He then worked for non-profit organizations in the Hamilton area. In 2009, he began his MA in Community Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University, a program through which he was introduced to Community Service-Learning and community-university engagement, generally. After spending three years completing his MA and supporting CSL at the Waterloo campus, he took the position of Coordinator of Community Service-Learning on Laurier's Brantford campus until 2014, at which point he resumed his doctoral studies in Social Work.

 He is a CAS member and continues to teach at WLU. 

Ravi is an avid reader of non-fiction and plays the electric guitar. He is a vegan and teetotaler.
