Wilfrid Laurier University Special Constable Service personnel are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Special Constables will respond to all calls for service and are dispatched on a priority basis through our office located in the Student Services Building across from the Dining Hall. Administration offices are located at 232 King Street N. If you require assistance or wish to report a crime, please call ourCommunication Centreat (519) 885-3333 or internally at extension 3333. All payphones on campus allow for a free call to our office, or you may use an emergency pole located throughout campus if you require immediate emergencyassistance.

Our Brantford office is located at 45 Market Street in Brantford and they can be reached by dialing 5888.

People at Laurier

Richard Cousineau, Special Constable Service Richard 'Rick' Cousineau started his career at Laurier in 1973 as a Security Guard. In 1976, Rick was first sworn in as a Special Constable. Rick sat on the Unversity Board of Govenors from 1986 till 1992, also in 1986 Rick was promoted to the rank of Supervisor. Rick has held many positions here at Laurier including Chief of Fire and Safety. Rick is also active in the Community most recently as a Fish and Wildlife Guardian volunteer with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Rick is an avid angler and actively participates in old timer hockey and golf during the summer months. Rick attributes his longevity at Laurier to the youthful environment and the positive people in the University Community.
